West Virginia is the state that left the confederate insurrection in 1863. The home of abolitionist John Brown's rebellion before that. The birthplace of the labor movement and site of the Battle of Blair Mountain in 1921, where working men picked up arms against their wealthy oppressors. We have always been fiercely independent, and we have always resisted authority overreaching its bounds. We stand with our fellow independent Appalachians at this moment in history.  Montani Semper Liberi.
